Mr. Ronnie Phuthego is a seasoned executive and strategic advisor with international experience across Africa, Asia, and Europe. He has built a distinguished career in strategy, economic empowerment, and multilateral diplomacy, holding pivotal leadership roles within Botswana’s government and for organisations such as the United Nations Development Programme. His expertise is supported by formal certifications and postgraduate qualifications in renewable energy and international cooperation policy.

He currently serves as Botswana’s National Contact Point to the European Commission’s Horizon Europe Programme and Chairs the Botswana-African Development Bank platform. In this capacity, and as an advisor to several multilateral institutions, he will support the Botswana Economic Transformation Programme by aligning SPEDU’s initiatives with national priorities, developing investment packages, advancing digital and green strategies, and catalysing industrialisation.
