Mr. Batsetswe is a seasoned transformational leader with extensive experience in economic and financial development, performance improvement, project management, and strategic business advisory.

He is currently reading for a Doctorate in Business Administration with a focus on "Creating High Performance Value Chain Organisations." He holds a Master of Finance & Control, a Postgraduate Certificate in Enterprise Risk Management, and a Bachelor of Arts in Social Sciences.

Under his leadership, SPEDU aims to strengthen its role as a catalyst for inclusive and sustainable development. The organisation will focus on fostering strategic partnerships and aligning with national development priorities.

Mr. Ronnie Phuthego is a seasoned executive and strategic advisor with international experience across Africa, Asia, and Europe. He has built a distinguished career in strategy, economic empowerment, and multilateral diplomacy, holding pivotal leadership roles within Botswana’s government and for organisations such as the United Nations Development Programme.

He currently serves as Botswana’s National Contact Point to the European Commission’s Horizon Europe Programme and Chairs the Botswana-African Development Bank platform. In this capacity, he will support the Botswana Economic Transformation Programme by aligning SPEDU’s initiatives with national priorities, developing investment packages, advancing digital and green strategies, and catalysing industrialisation.

A professional Accountant with a career spanning over 25 years in the field of Accountancy at various institutions and in various capacities. A Fellow member of ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) and Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants (BICA).

He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting from the University of Botswana and is a Project Planning and Control Practitioner with APMG International.

His previous experience includes roles as Director Corporate Services, Finance Manager, Operations Officer, and Auditor. He oversees Finance, Administration, Human Resources, and Procurement.
