Mr. Stiglingh is a highly accomplished agricultural entrepreneur with extensive experience in large-scale horticulture and livestock farming, deeply rooted in Botswana’s agricultural landscape. As the owner and Managing Director of Lucerne Fields Farm since 2007, he has built the country’s largest supplier of premium carrots and beetroot under the B-Fresh brand. Beyond horticulture, he also manages a thriving commercial herd and the prestigious Limousin stud.
With a strong commitment to sustainable practices and community development, Mr. Stiglingh leads a dynamic operation employing over 200 people. His leadership extends to significant roles within the agricultural sector, including President of the Limousin Breeder’s Society of Southern Africa, Chairperson of the Tuli-Block Farmers’ Association, and Chairperson of the Botswana Commercial Horticulture Farmers’ Association. He is also a long-standing member of the Ministry of Agriculture’s Technical Advisory Committee for Agriculture Business Development.
Prior to his current ventures, he gained valuable project management experience in diverse industries, including mining and construction in South Africa, demonstrating strong capabilities in planning, execution, and team management. Recognised for excellence, he has received multiple awards, including the Botswana Horticultural Council’s Top Onion Producers Award and international accolades for his Limousin cattle.
